Wild Dunes is one our favorite vacation spots and this home was perfect! There was plenty of space and the location close to the beach was ideal. The pool was clean and got a lot of use. The kitchen and dining area were spacious and roomy for our family gatherings each night. We look forward to returning!

The home layout was great for 7 people. It is spacious and has adequate # of beds for 7. The home is dated, carpets very worn & stained throughout, walls very dirty and in need of a fresh coat of paint. We have chalked it up to end of season. There is no beach access for this house as both in the Beachwood neighborhood are blocked off and closed. The home is advertised and priced as being “steps” from ocean. We ended up walking several blocks which consisted of cutting through a condo parking area and pool area and using their access. Thankfully no one called us out on this. I brought it to the rental agent’s attention day one. I’m surprised they were unaware. If you have mobility issues, and want to be steps from beach, this is not the house for you. Our trip was fun because we enjoy each other’s company! The kitchen table is where we found ourselves most nights.

We weren’t able to stay at the home we initially reserved due to flooding issues - but we were very happy with our alternative accommodations. This home is not only spacious and beautiful, but very cozy with a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Within walking distance to the beach we were able to enjoy the sunset and salt air.

We could not have asked for a more perfect rental home for our long weekend. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. The house has a spacious living area and a perfect, well stocked kitchen and dinning area where we gathered each night for long conversation and fun. The beds are very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, allowing for relaxing morning coffee and evening cocktails on the comfortable screened in porch
I almost did not rent this home based on a prior review. Island Realty was exceptional to work with and assured me that if I was not happy with the home upon arrival they would get us into another available home. I must say that the review was not what we found at all and I think it was a completely unfair, unfortunate review of this home. Sure, the house has dated decor, but it was beautiful and clean! There is a walkway steps from the home that takes you straight to the beach and the neighborhood is perfect for morning walks.
Our family and friends couldn’t have asked for a better home for our stay and would not hesitate to rent again when we’re back in town.

This house was perfect for our 2 families with 3 teenagers in tow. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and sitting on the porches. We only used the pool one time because the water was so cold due to not getting much sunlight since it’s shaded by the trees. It was also dirty from all the leaves that fall into it and the landscapers trimmed the bushes on our second day and blew a lot of dirt, leaves and sticks into the pool when he was cleaning up. We thought the pool cleaners were supposed to come on Friday but we never saw anyone during our stay. With all of the trees around the property the pool should be cleaned more often. Or have a vacuum available for use. Also could use some better chairs around the pool. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was very clean. Overall it was a good stay, but we were disappointed that we couldn’t enjoy the pool which is the main reason we booked this property

This home is spacious and well appointed . Beautiful setting and beach walk is manageable . As stated previously over the weeks the ice maker in the refrigerator is not working and this was again reported . Screen door on the porch screen has torn letting in mosquitoes . The pool was cleaned on Thursday . Very nice pool but mosquitoes are plentiful . It never rained last week during our stay and they were still a lot . We never saw the sign entrance at Wild Dunes say when they did spraying and don’t believe stapling was done entire week . We loved all the room we had for our family of 7 in this house !!!

Beachwood 10 is a beautiful home, but the elevator doesn't work and one of the garage doors will not open. Home was very clean, but we couldn't use the pool because of the mosquitos. We also had to go buy more towels and wash cloths. Only one per guest. Garage door being broken cuts back on parking.

Nice house with lots of great space. Great location that is close to the beach and Pavilion area. Kitchen was a nice size for multiple people to be preparing food together. Kitchen utensils, pots and pans and appliances could use some updating. Otherwise, very nice place to stay in Wild Dunes.

We rented for the month of March, and from the first step in we were captivated! It fit our needs just right; from weekend visitors to a small gathering of good friends. Each bedroom was well equipped, as was the full kitchen. We had a few very minor maintenance issues, and the Island Realty team responded immediately! Loved it, and would absolutely do it again!

Great House! In good condition and great location.
Very comfortable with four bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms and 2 half bathroom. We did had an issue with the dishwasher not starting occasionally but finally did work. Probably a defective panel.
We would definitely go back to this house.

The house was tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac. It was huge! Much bigger than expected and super clean. The pool was awesome and my wife and kids loved it. We woke up every morning watching deer cross our yard. This house is very close to the beach and has games, large tv's and loads of space for large families. Island Realty always does an awesome job accommodating us and we cannot wait to return to Wild Dunes.

Nice house very well built. However for the price it needs more attention. Broken wicker table in screen porch; 2 broken chairs beside pool; of the 2 chaises one’s seat was ripped so could not be used leaving 1 chaise for 4 ppl; other chairs had rusty legs so were unsteady; pool skimmer pole broken; several light bulbs out throughout house; very steep stairs at entry making it hard to carry up luggage or groceries (house has an elevator but it was disabled); housekeeping was shoddy, hairs in bathroom floor when we arrived and pool deck had not been cleaned (food left on grill, empty beer cans left, someone’s hat and pool floats left); pool was supposed to be cleaned on Tues & Fri but was only cleaned on Tues. Towels provided were very nice and thick; good access to the beach; nice large kitchen.

Talk about a great and convenient location! We were steps from the beach path which made the walk to the beach ~5minutes or less. Great sunset from the top window as well. The pool was great to have in our backyard however because of the thick woods + water, the mosquitos were quite bad. I would definitely recommend getting bug spray or candles. Our only complaint was that the house generally needs to be updated (appliances, stained carpet replaced, etc.). We LOVE Island Realty as they are always super great to work with!

We had a very relaxing vacation with family and friends. We had a new baby this year, so it was so enjoyable to stay in and cook, play games, swim, and forget all about the demands of life. This house was the perfect location and offered us everything we needed. A close walk to the beach, great walks around the island, and a quick swim in your very own back yard. We will plan to use this vacation spot again if available. THANKS to this family that opens their home to families like ours.

We had a wonderful vacation at this home. It is very clean. It’s proximity to the beach and resort is excellent! A very short walk to the beach and it’s a bit less crowded. The house is decorated nicely. It’s very comfortable including the mattresses. The pillows are so old they are like pancakes. Really poor condition. We really enjoyed the screened porches and the pool. Lots of bugs but that’s to be expected. The appliances while functional should be replaced. The fridge had broken bins and the door gets stuck when it’s open because framing is broken. The dishwasher runs but the racks are very rickety and get stuck. The range wouldn’t ignite and then the burners wouldn’t stop igniting. There was construction going on next door which was loud but there’s not much anyone can do about that. The most disappointing thing was the lack of bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. Although this house sleeps 14, we only had 6 guests so we were given a total of 6 of each. 1 towel/washcloth per person for a week is ridiculous. When we requested more towels, housekeeping abruptly told us that’s all you get. When We directly asked Island Realty it was the same response but they offered to let us rent for $5/set. Ummm no. They said, there’s a washer and dryer so you only get 1 per person. I did do laundry but more often than I wanted. Who wants to reuse a dirty washcloth? (Also there are 2 powder rooms so you need hand towels there as well.). If the house sleeps 14, why couldn’t they spare us some more towels? I didn’t pay any less for 6 people renting. Island Realty needs to up their game with some things. The price of this rental should provide all the very simple comforts of home. We would definitely rent again but if they don’t replace the pillows, bring your own.

I have rented this house several times and always enjoy my stay. The layout is perfect for guests with a master suite downstairs and an additional master suite upstairs. A large den downstairs and an additional den upstairs is also a nice use of space. The kitchen area is large, open, and perfect for entertaining. Two screened porches provide pleasant places to relax. The property manager is very professional and responded immediately to my calls. The location iN Wild Dunes is a plus with the beach and walking/biking trails.

Would have been nice to have the elevator working since I had an ankle injury. There are so many stairs in this house. That is the ONLY negative here! It is a beautiful, comfortable house. Very clean and well stocked. It is much closer to the beach than it appears on the map. Nice to have 2 master suites with very comfortable beds.and nice linens. The pool was cleaned of leaves( there are trees all around it) on our first day. Great to have garage access for 4 cars. A selection of games and puzzles, beach chairs, pool “noodles” and boogie boards. If you like to cook it’s a perfect huge kitchen with gathering spaces!
I would definitely stay here again!

I have rented this house 3 times and have already reserved for 2019. Great location near beach walkway and short walk to The Pavilion, playground, snack bar, and bike rental. The layout of the house provides space for different groups to gather. The two screened porches are my favorite spots for morning coffee or reading aloud to grandchildren. Kitchen is large and is a great place to share meals. Location and layout make this house a great place to stay!

This house was perfect for our large family (4 kids, nana and babysitter). This would be a perfect house for two families to share. We loved the large kitchen and huge dining room table. Our kids loved having a pool at the house for a few extra hours of swimming every day. The proximity to the beach path was a pleasant surprise...much closer than we thought. The only issue we had with the house was the dryer, which took 4-5 cycles to get clothes dry. We would rent this house again.

House was very nice and clean. However, the TV was not connected and due to the holidays it was a little difficult to get someone from the rental agency to help us. The bed mattresses were lumpy and no extra blankets were available.

They have all since been resolved by Comcast and all tv's should be functioning properly. while the mattresses are only a couple of years old and often can change with personal preference, the owner has been notified and has taken your concerns into consideration.
