Island Retreat! Full of character and charm, this Goat Island home is the perfect vacation retreat located on the Intracoastal Water off the Isle of Palms. The island is unique in that it has no automobile access and is surrounded by Marshland. The house is located only a few minutes boat ride from the Isle of Palms Marina.

To rent this home, you must:

1. Have your own boat with you to access the property, or...

2. Rent a boat through the IOP Marina. Special rates for Island Realty guests.

3. MUST BE 25 years of age or older, ID will be required.

4. Currently there is NO OVERNIGHT TRAILER PARKING at the marina. Please contact the marina for questions on trailer parking options.

5. Call in for availability & rate details - this property is not bookable online

6. All trash must be removed from Island by renter (no dumpsters have to take home with you)

Goat Island House has the following amenities:

3 bedrooms: 2 with king beds, 1 with a full size bed.

3 baths: 2 with Jacuzzi tubs/showers, 1 with regular tub/shower.

Fully equipped kitchen: large Refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, blender, dual fuel range, gas grill, dishwasher.

Central air and ceiling fans in all rooms.

275' pier w/20' floating dock.

Screened front porch with sound system and picnic table.

Big back deck with hammock.

DirecTV with surround sound. This home does not have internet service.

Linens included.

Guest pays $100 clean fee for stays less than 1 week. Pet Friendly for Dogs with $300 pet rent. Please give us a call to reserve your stay with one of our Vacation Planners!

This property is a great space for family gatherings or quiet get-aways. The house is well-stocked with all of the necessary items, and was very clean. Our family enjoyed lots of time on the dock, on the screened-in porch, and appreciated the wrap-around deck. Great house and location on the Intercostal Waterway!

The Goat Island house was perfect for our large family to have a great vacation experience. We had a great time and are hoping to stay again next year. The management team was very helpful as we planned our first stay on Goat Island. The property was as described. It was well-appointed and well-maintained. Pictures don't do it justice! Bring your boat and water toys, and have a great time!

Our trip was perfect! The dock was the best. We sat out on it every day and enjoyed the beautiful view. The house was the perfect size for our 2 families. The description was exact on property. We love this house/location. It allows our family to be together, in one place, with peace and beauty all around us. The dock and it's design remind us of our old home where I raised my children, on the south side of town, Stono River. For the 2nd year, we have celebrated my son's birthday there. We alert our friends of where we will be, and so many stop by throughout the week and say Hi! These familiar fishing waters allow my son and his friends to jump on the boat anytime to go fishing. It is dreamy in that regard! We hope to come back!

If you want posh, go to the Ritz. If you want a true authentic lowcountry experience, this is the place. The dock is topnotch, the home has all the space you need, the wrap-around porch is irresistible, kitchen is stocked and the 5ft long yeti kept the beer cold all week! Can't think of one complaint except we had to go home.

Spent 4 nights at the Goat Island house and couldn't have been happier with the place. Great layout for a couple of families with kids. Spent every evening on the covered dock and nights enjoying the spacious screened in porch. Floating dock was perfect for our 21' boat and we made regular day trips up and down the ICW, and to the marina store across the way. Cooper made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond with questions about check in/check out, etc. Will definitely be back!

I cannot say enough good things about this house! My family had a wonderful time. The house and property were beautiful and larger than I anticipated. The house was very clean and the management company was exceptional! They made us feel right at home and checked in to ensure we had everything we needed! Perfect vacation! This is our 2nd stay at the goat island house and everything was wonderful. we stay on the dock the whole time unless were on the boat fishing. Caught some huge Reds and Black drum right off the dock. We will be back!

Admittedly, at first I wasn't sure this experience would be a good one. The rental company provided little insight as to what accommodations the home provided. Does it have linens? "Yes, I think so." Does the grill come with a full propane tank? "Yes, I think so." Will the key be at the location or do we pick it up? "Oh, it should be at the house somewhere." If I were paying a company to host my listing I'd expect them to know these answers, BUT that is where the negatives end for this stay. The cleaner/property manager Marshall was fantastic and accommodating and ensured we were taken care of by checking in throughout the week. The convenience of the location being right across from the marina was paramount due to all of the essentials we had to lug via boat. The views are spectacular and the home is well accommodated and comfortable. We even rode out a tropical storm! The dock is obviously where we spent most of our time day and night. Being from Charleston I knew Goat Island would be a great "staycation" spot to be close to home yet feel hundreds of miles away. We will definitely be spending vacations here from now on!

WE had a wonderful family 'stay-cation' at Goat Island House. I found the house to be very comfortable and accommodating. Some couches and bedding had been updated since the photos were taken, so it looked even better in person.
Cooper at Island Realty made this stay wonderful for us. From the start, he was accessible and answered my questions about the house. I did not want to get over there and have to keep going to the store, so knowing what was in the house ( towels, supplies, etc) was very important to me. He took all my calls and became a most helpful part of our week's success. He was wonderful.
I do have a few suggestions for the house:
- the kitchen cabinets do not have knobs and the drawers do not have pulls, so that was a bit frustrating.
-saw quite a few cockroaches and spiders, but we were in the woods, in the south. Quite a few spider webs inside the porch.
-had a raccoon trying to get into the screen porch every night, so maybe a stronger screen door?
I know we are in the south, and against the water on a very wooded lot, so some of this is to be expected.
We will certainly hope to visit again next year. My family had a wonderful time!

This was our second year staying at Goat Island house. Love the exclusivity of being on an island yet near the marina and restaurants. The boat is always in the water and ready to go at a moments notice. By the way, there is good depth of water at the float dock at low tide so exiting at anytime is a good thing. From our dock, we travel the ICW north and did some great fishing in Bulls Bay or traveled south to Charleston Harbor and Shem Creek for dinner. Priceless!!
