i cannot gush enough about how beautiful the ocean view was and the pool area- the community was safe and well kept
The condo itself needed some TLC. The kitchen sink smelled and caused the whole first floor to smell like rotting fish the duration of our stay. There were roaches that properly gave me the creeps- two on patio and a dead roach behind the TV. The bed, sofa and chairs were uncomfortable and the living room furniture just looked quite dirty. Overall it was all about the location. the actual condo needs help

This condo needs a deep cleaning. Floors in bathrooms and bedrooms were very dirty. Picture above couch had child’s fingerprints which were very visible. We did enjoy the view from our porch and the pool was very nice. Lots of chairs.

No WiFi in main floor bedroom, bathrooms need updating, master shower door will barely close and drain comes up if your foot hits it, only one towel per person for the week, the furniture was old and stained- lots of room and has lots of potential, but updates needed.

Location can’t be beat. Can see ocean from back patio and pool is directly behind condo. Short walk to both. Super quiet neighborhood even being that close to the pool. Condo was not the cleanest though. Sticky cabinets in kitchen and master shower looked like it got a quick wipe down and that’s it. Greeted by cobwebs all over and around the front door. Had one designated parking spot and plenty of guest spots to choose from. Wild Dunes overall was great. Clean and quiet resort area.

Condo was spacious and accommodated our family. Didn’t particularly like walking up the stairs to the condo and also had stairs inside to 2 bedrooms. Having a washer and dryer were a nice feature. Kitchen was well supplied. However, pots and pans should be replaced..quite scratched. Would like plastic glassware especially for children. Plenty of seating but furnishings were older and soiled.

Mariners walk 4D was very spacious. Actually more than what we needed for my husband and myself. We wanted a getaway during my chemotherapy break and chose this lovely oceanfront complex. It was clean but need some updates particularly in the bathrooms. The kitchen really needed better pots and pans and utensils for those that cook in some during vacation. The pool is convenient and quiet. Our unit was on the second floor and therefore we had 3 flights of steps to the front door and then the master bedroom was on the second floor. Exhausting for me and also for my husband when carrying luggage and groceries and coolers. There was no cable tv in the unit and Netflix would not stay connected. Thankfully I took my laptop and an hdmi cable or we would not have been able to watch our shows at night.

Our rental experience was pretty good. Pros - spacious 2nd floor unit with nice views, 3 full bathrooms, Mariners Walk has a nice pool, property backs up to beach, and pricing was competitive. Cons - updates are needed, some paint is flaking off of the ceiling (which is likely why price was lower).

We loved the location and the quietness of the complex. It was convenient to the beach, pool and everything we needed. The only downside we had was we had very little cell phone reception. We will definitely recommend Mariner’s Walk to others.

Almost everything about the condo was great. A couple suggestions would be new pillows and skillets. Also, the couch could use a couch cover. The condo complex was nice and it was great beach location.

Mariner’s Walk is a lovely community. The layout of the condos and amenities (eg pool, outdoor grilling area) is great and the proximity to the beach is exceptional. There is a considerable amount of deferred maintenance, however, that needs to be addressed. There was rotting wood everywhere. The door to our unit was scarred and in serious need of paint. Not very inviting! 4-D is in serious need of TLC - paint, furnishings, linens, etc. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty, also (lipstick on wine glasses, etc.).

There was plenty of room for 6 of us. Grandparents in downstairs bedroom, parents and kids in the 2 upstairs bedrooms. Room enough for privacy, yet living room/dining room table spacious enough for us all to come together. Great view of pool and peeks of the ocean. Easy walk to the beach. Will stay here at 4D or Mariners Walk again. Very peaceful, beautiful and relaxing.

We booked Mariners Walk 4D last minute and on a budget because COVID changed our original summer vacation plans. We were very pleased with the location of the unit, it was very comfortable. The only negative thing we noticed was that the guest room TV did not work. Upon further inspection the cable outlet in the guestroom was connected to the main TV in the living room. Not a big deal at all to us but worth noting.

Very nice ,other than parking issues with Mariners Walk.Limited to 2 spaces for a 3 bedroom unit which had 3 families.There were 8to12 vacant spots every morning and night in just the 4D side of the complex

Overall great weather, no rain. Temps was a little cooler than we would have liked.

The unit was nice. Beds were comfortable and we had all the basics needed and lots of stuff in the kitchen we did not use. The unit could stand with an update in the bathrooms but it was very functional and useable. The outdoor furniture on the deck will need to be replaced after this season. The item I think needs the most attention is the lighting in the living/eating area. At night this was dim when trying to play games at the table.

The points I have brought out was nothing that we needed to call and fixed and it was probably very adequate for most everyone. The walk to the beach was great and close and the pool was nice as well. I would stay here again for sure if the opportunity arises.

Really liked the location and the floor plan of this condo. The view is great plus you have the afternoon sun which was great during the winter when I’m there. Needs updating in living room furniture, otherwise it was very nice.

This condo is adequate but needs to be thoroughly cleaned, updated and properly maintained. The floors were dirty when we arrived; exterior doors, windows and screens need repair; and interior walls need to be painted. The condo is in a good location with easy beach access.

It's a great location as far as being by a beautiful beach. The grounds are nice. The unit itself is okay. The bathrooms are small. The king bathroom's sliding shower door was off track and water didn't drain out fast enough. There wasn't even salt and pepper in the cabinets. It was basically clean, not sparkling clean but ok. There was a slightly run down feeling. The view from king matter was of the ocean the other rooms were of the grounds. I haven't stayed on the island before so I don't know if this is typical for the price. I had read other reviews so I wad prepared not to find a really great place. All that being said, it's totally adequate and if it's not overpriced then I would have to say I would recommend as long as expectations are kept in line.

Mostly fine but we do a lot of cooking and would have preferred a better stocked kitchen as far as pots/pans/utensils/cutting boards/scissors. It was very close to the pool and beach, which was great. Would also do a lower level unit for ease with children. Needs rugs!!

Nice condo with plenty of room for the 6 of us for our two night stay. We loved the close proximity to the beach. The property was fairly well maintained, but we did find quite a few palmetto bugs inside once the sun went down.

Had a family group of 9. Rented 2 condo's for a last minute family get-away after Christmas. One condo was in generally better shape than the other, but they were both generally clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Upon occupying the property, we discover the front door latch would not engage. A simple push on the door, and you were in. This has apparently been an issue in the past as the wood on the door frame where the latch engages showed that extensive work had been performed in the past. We called the maintenance phone number shortly after arrival and a repairman was dispatched in a couple of hours. The damage was so extensive he was unable to fix the problem and said a carpenter would be required which then reported to the maintenance office. To his credit, he went to Lowe's and got us a hook latch to secure the screen door to the door frame. By mid-afternoon the next day, no one had shown up to perform the permanent fix, so we again call Island Realty's maintenance number. We finally were told someone would be there between 4 and 5 pm. He arrived around 6pm when the family was soon to leave for dinner. He did successfully install screws into the door frame to tighten it up enough for the door latch to engage and hold when locked. However, I suspect a moderate kick to the door could bust it in. Despite expressing disappointment over the lack of security for this property, something I think renters highly value, Island Realty offered only minimal concern and no compensation. For example, after describing the situation upon check-out, we were told the property manager would give us a call. Never heard from him.

The furnishing were just as pictured and the unit was very clean! The dryer did not work, a "hidden" note was found stating it did not work which was found AFTER washing laundry and attempting to get dryer to work. Housekeeping was quick to bring additional towels but no other laundry could be done during the week. The iron did not work. The DVD remote was missing!
