Our flight came in early so we had to wait at the Dingy, luckily we were able to get in earlier than expected. Make sure you ask for early checkin. The girl at the front desk was able to check with housekeeping to see if our condo was ready and it was. We were on the 1st floor with good views however we were directly over the pool,luckily this time of year the pool wasn't used much. The beach is beautiful. The views of sunrise and sunset are amazing.
IOPizza across the street has excellent pizza! Highly recommend it. We did need to uber into Charleston for sightseeing but if you're ok to have a quiet relaxing week away at the beach this is your place. Excellent girls trip!

We have stayed in this rental before. Convenient location, clean and comfortable. One of the nicer rentals we have had in our years of traveling. First floor is very convenient with personal stairs to beach and pool, unlike 2nd & 3rd floors.

Excellent location at but Unit 107 at 1140 Ocean Blvd needs a serious overhaul. Basics such as dishwasher, oven and dryer all suffer from age issues. Overall the unit is charming but these equipment shortcomings creat a less than satisfactory rental. Updating is mandatory if this is to become an asset to Island Realty.

For our December stay the broken ( not to be used) elevator didn’t help.

Having outlined the unit issues we still need to say that the island Realty maintenance staff were outstanding in their responses and help. Our rental representative was also helpful and understanding which we very much appreciate.

We love this Isle of Palms location. We’ve appreciated our multiple rentals from Island Realty. Unfortunately this unit fell more than a bit short.

We have stayed at same location before. Couple of suggestions-the front two bedroom windows need regular blinds and room darkening curtains. Way too bright with outside lighting. Second floor had extremely loud guest.

We had a great time returning to IOP this year, in the same unit we stayed in last year. Overall, great stay. Three items that need to be addressed: 1. The shower drain in the front left bedroom doesn't drain ( it had issues last year too) 2. The dishwasher doesn't close well, and doesn't always clean the dishes ( same issues as last year) 3. The vacuum cleaner in the unit doesn't have good suction.

We loved our condo. The location was perfect . We could walk to grocery store, restaurants and shops. The unit was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Being right on the ocean and overlooking the pool and beach was awesome.
Island realty was absolutely great to deal with. We had an issue with our dryer and they were quick to get someone in fix it. I highly recommend Island Realty.

Overall, we were very happy has 1st timers to Isle of Palm. A few of the appliances in the rental didn't work/work well and we had to call maintenance, as well as the shower not draining. That said, maintenance was great at being quick and efficient. The pool was pretty cloudy/dirty for about half of our stay, but the beach was amazing!

It was wonderful. I had 3 condos. Two were lovely - the 3rd needed work. Called to report deficiencies and credit was given. More important than the condos was the great responsive, caring, attention given by customer service. I will definitely book again and will tell all my friends! Thanks to all!

Location was great- right at the pool and close to the beach. Received prompt replies from the office. However, the air conditioning did not work in the master bedroom. We had to sleep with the door open, a box fan in the doorway and still could not sleep from lack of cool air. It was miserable. The maintenance worker was sent promptly but told us it was an issue with the ductwork. The ceiling around many of the vents looked patched and one of the vents was on the floor with blue duct tape when we arrived. Handle on the microwave was broken and there were a few stains on the carpets. Some of the glasses in the cabinet looked unclean. We had family living in Charleston who tried to come visit us and couldn't get into our area because the streets were closed. So, don't go on a busy weekend because they close the road off that goes to your condo! So, the location is great on one hand, but terrible on the other.

Really nice setting and view. Will not rent again on 1st floor as aggressive squirrel was a nuisance with easy access up stairs from ground level. No TV instructions and without channel choices until next day. Very helpful repair man fixed it. Vent in living room ceiling was nasty with paint chipping. Black mold under ring of toilet in master bath. Trash and dust behind headboards. Window treatments need space to hang in twin and/or need repair in master.

The unit has a beautiful view of the ocean and quick access to the beach. Restaurants and shops are located within steps of the front door! That said, the unit needs some TLC throughout. The condo was NOT very clean, which was surprising with Covid. An AC vent looked like it literally had not been cleaned all year, the floors under the couches were dirty. The furniture, lamps and dressers were VERY dusty. There were issues with the AC and a leaking toilet which were promptly fixed.

This was my first time at 1140 Ocean... and will 100% choose it again. Unit 107 was BEAUTIFUL! The location couldn't be more perfect, the couch and beds were super comfy and the pool was wonderful. The only reason I gave 4 stars for cleanliness was that the fans needed cleaned. But you will not go wrong picking this place for your vacation.

My family of 5 (parents and 3 kids) stayed in this 3 bedroom condo ( ocean Blvd. 1140 #107) for Labor day week. The complex is right in the middle of shops, bars and restaurants, so unless you are going into Charleston you can park your car and walk everywhere. Even to the grocery store and fish market.

This unit has three bedrooms and 3 baths. It is big and was more than enough room for our family. The back deck was awesome and we loved sitting out there in the mornings having coffee & cocktails in the evenings. The unit was cleaned but I would suggest that the owners deep clean the carpets in the bedroom or better yet remove the carpet all together. Due to Covid I did my own cleaning & lysol-ing before we touched anything. The kitchen is big and very well equipped. Master bed was comfy and I loved the renovated master bathroom. I had seen another review regarding the washer & dryer and they are older, but worked ok.

When I booked I was hoping for a unit that was higher up for a better view. However I'm glad we ended up on the first floor. We had a good view but the beautiful thing was the direct access from our balcony to the pool & beach. It made it easy with the kid and all our gear. The only negative thing about being right in front of the pool was the RUDE guest who did NOT observe the pool hours & woke us up one morning at 7am (kids screaming in the pool).

The building has a private gated boardwalk to the beach that keeps out non-guest. Beach was super crowded for a few days but other times was great. We rented our chairs & umbrella ahead of time so every morning it was set up by 9 and our place on the beach was saved.

We did have an issue with the internet. Island Realty sent someone over & they fixed it ASAP. My overall experience dealing with Island Realty was great. We have used them several times and its always been a good experience.

Very efficient and professional rental staff. The location of the condo is ideal; we parked the car for the week and walked everywhere. The beach is beautiful and easily reached. The pool is in need of some work, but the pool cleaner came everyday andthe water was clear and fresh. (A few guests were a little piggy but I guess they forgot to bring the butler or mom) The unit was laid out well and there have been upgrades to the appliances, baths and furniture. Cleanliness was an issue. Linens were clean, but the overall housekeeping was not good. Kitchen surfaces were wiped, but not clean. Stove top was wiped but not clean. The clothes washer was so bad it was unusable. The floors had not been thoroughly vacuumed and the deck was not swept. The deck furniture desperately need replacing -- rusted and uncomfortable. Rockers need a coat of paint. We have rented this unit many times in the past and we do love it. The owners need to know the cleaning service is not delivering the service they are being paid to do. We do recommend this rental and have confidence that the housekeeping issues will be corrected. If you love the beach 1140 is for you.

We rented four of the condos on 1140 Ocean Blvd this year, 2019. This was the favorite condo of the four among the consensus of our family group. The colors and decorations were bright and happy. Master bedroom had a good bed and chair, the second bedroom was a true queen but did need a new mattress which I know is hard to keep up with, and then we prefer two twins over bunk beds and these were very nice twins. Loved how the bathrooms were private. The only complaint we had was that the outdoor furniture wasn’t comfortable. We realize outdoor furniture is hard to keep at the beach with the saltwater but the rocking chairs weren’t comfortable and need to be replaced. Otherwise, great condo!!!

The condo is very nice and we really love staying there. The owner might want to check into getting the vents in the ceiling fixed. We noticed last year when we were there the ceiling around the vents were in need of repair and this years stay they were still in need of repair it could become a big problem for them.

My sister and I needed a few days away so we chose front beach at Isle of Palms. We wanted to be able to walk to restaurants and there were several within a couple of blocks. Our condo had a view of the ocean even though we were on the first floor. It was furnished nicely and the kitchen was well equipped except for a blender. We used the smoothie maker for our margaritas but they weren't too frozen. I would recommend this condo.
