113A Sea Cabins is a lovely one bedroom apartment. Great beach and pier access steps from apartment. When the heat didn't turn on-and the nights were very chilly, management brought us 2 space heaters. Also,they were very cooperative in giving us compensation. I would suggest putting a bar and a shelf in the shower.

stayed in this unit years ago, it was horrible. totally remodeled. got rid of the hallway and bunks. now, one large bedroom with king size bed with moving room on both sides! all new kitchen and the bathroom now has a walkin shower. great decor as well.

As always Island Realty is the best. The property could use a bit of an upgrade especially the couch. It's terrible for sleeping. The sofa bed is very hard to get set up and very uncomfortable. I've stayed in this property for two years and it has been the same.

Property could certainly use some updating. Carpets were stained and had a good bit of wear. Refrigerator freezer compartment had rusted shelving. Outside door was worn and cracked. One of the chairs on the balcony had a seat that was so stretched and worn that it should have been thrown out. Couch was a sleeper sofa and it was pretty much sunk in.
For the positives it is on the first floor and you still have a view of the ocean. Easy access to the beach and pool as well as the laundry facility. All of the appliances worked and there were adequate kitchen utensils for us.
The condo was clean.

So glad to be back at Sea Cabins with the pier, beach, and ocean right there! We chose first floor with fewer steps to climb. We prefer more ocean view from the second level.
Flew down from Canada, so no car. But, we knew we could walk to basic needs: grocery, restaurants, etc. Uber driver was great when required.
Our condo had plenty of kitchen equipment. Balcony had four chairs!
Only a couple things: LR carpet needed shampooing. BR window needed better coverage as outside night light shone onto our pillows. Lastly,
the sofa cushions were too soft for us seniors. Not complaining... no snow or ice here. I had fun sketching and writing poetry when not enjoying pier or beach walks! Housekeeping staff were a big help! ��������

Overall, it was ok. Space had basic necessities. The bathroom has been updated nicely, hopefully the kitchen will be next. A new mattress in the bunks and bedroom would go a long way as they are hard. Carpet would do well being replaced with the same nice flooring in the bathroom. It's a relatively nice space for spending time in after a day at the beach.

We had a great vacation. Would be nice to have a TV in the bedroom. Also the bathtub is extremely slick. It needs to have something in the bottom. The stove eyes don't all work all the time. Overall everything was excellent. We love staying in this condo. It is very convenient and the grounds staff is excellent. We enjoy visiting with them everytime we stay.

We stay in the Sea Cabins regularly, but this is the first time we stayed on the first floor, because so little was available. We were surprised that the view from this condo was still decent, with the ocean often n view along with the pier. We liked that the condo still has carpet in the living area (most have gone to vinyl etc.) The bed and sofa are beginning to age, so that would be a recommendation from us (to upgrade). Also, it would really be nice if high chairs were part of the balcony, since it is on the first floor. But, we very much enjoyed our stay, and while we prefer the 3rd floor for view, we were pleasantly surprised how nice this view and condo were.

We have been staying at Sea Cabins for just over 20 years now and we always enjoy our stay. This is the first year that we have stayed in this unit. It was very convenient to the fishing pier, beach access and pool. It being close to the steps made it very easy to carry all of our stuff into the room. While the unit was clean, it definitely needs a little love. The textured ceiling was coming down in the living room as well as the bathroom and kitchen. The faceplate was missing on the plug next to the refrigerator. Needs paint and caulk in the kitchen along the counter tops. Bathroom has recently had some work done and is in good shape with the exception of the ceiling. The carpet in the living room also needs to be cleaned or replaced. We will definitely be back, but will definitely book a different unit.

We stayed in a sea cabin and it was overall a good experience. It was very clean and I loved how you could still see the ocean from our 1st floor balcony. However our sea cabin really needed to be updated. Some of the decor was broken and broken drawers that were falling apart and some of the kitchen cookware was rusted really bad. Other than that it was great.

The property was as advertised. It was a great location with private access to the beach and a fishing pier. The quick and easy access to everything made it very easy with young children. The unit needs to be updated to say the least. We would stay there again but would definitely stay in a different unit that has been updated and better maintained.

OK for the price, but some freshening up is really needed. One MUST HAVE for guest privacy is the bedroom blinds. They are not adjustable and there is a substantial gap at the bottom, allowing anyone to peer in and see anything going on in the bedroom...THAT is unacceptable. A working spray nozzle is needed in the kitchen sink. Otherwise, the unit just needs some sprucing up but OK for the price I guess.

Do not let these pictures fool you - this place is a dump. The couch is older/different and the carpet is dark brown and dirty. The bar stools are not white either. The love seat had leftover glitter on it even after a cleaning crew had come in - my guess is someone hosted a bachelor party here and had ladies of the night come we found many other items in uncleaned crevices. Luckily we had booked another cabin in which we spent most of our time because this particular cabin was beyond awful.

Overall, I had a good experience. My "Sea Cabin" wasn't as nice as the picture would indicate. Because of some mobility issues, I had asked if there were steps up to the 1st floor units and I was told, "a few". Now to me, "a few" would be 2 or 3. Actually there were 9 steps up to the level of my cabin. Plus there was no mention of the many steps to get to the beach, the pier, or the pool. So I was unable to enjoy the beach or the pool as much as I did last year.

Great location. Convenient for kids. Pool was fun. Unit worked OK. But probably will look at other units to see what is out there. Maybe all the same.. Not really a big fan of carpet in unit. It collects everything and gets wet. Probably why it smelled when we arrived. We got candles and made it work. Overall fun adventure. This unit location is great with kids because of close parking at rear of unit. I would stay again at this unit if only option. Would like to see no carpet next time though. It was a fun weekend. No regrets.

The location was great, the place was a little dated, there were dishes missing, and smelled like stale smoke. We had a neighbor that say outside on the deck 27/7 and never stopped talking so was hard to enjoy the outside but the walk to the ocean was nice and everything is close by that your need.

Cabin smelled of cigarette smoke. The unit needs some updating . We have stayed in several other units and this one need allite love and care . Our stay was ok but was alittle disappointed in this one . Unit was clean just needs alittle work on it.

Very pleased with the location and enjoyed a very relaxing day on the beach. Could not have asked for better weather as there was not a cloud in the sky and the temperature was around 82. The unit we stayed in could use some paint and a few repairs. I was not pleased that we were there for four days and were expected to use the same towels and washcloths the entire stay or pay a fee to have them replaced with clean ones.

Overall the stay was ok. The unit could use some cleaning around the air vents otherwise it was clean. The master bedroom could use some blackout shades. The exterior light shines right in your face when you are sleeping!! That is the only suggestion I have.

We stayed at Isle of Palms & made a long weekend of attending a friend's wedding in Charleston. We loved staying near the beach & just walking a few steps to the shore & a few more steps to restaurants, ice-cream, etc. The staff at Island Realty were very helpful during the reservation process. The only downside of the experience was that the rental needed some updating & deep cleaning. Carpet in rental was worn and could stand cleaning.

This condo is extremely dated and in need of many repairs. The coffee table was damaged and close to falling apart. The kitchen was barely serviceable. The bath room had no vent and the towel racks were falling off the wall. Compared to other units in the complex, this unit was in desperate need of attention. The fixtures and decor hearken back to the late 1980s or early 1990s.

This unit had very wet carpet around the island; we thought something had been spilled on the carpet. It took a couple of days to figure out that the water was coming from a leak in the dishwasher. Island Realty was great to work with and moved us to another unit which was very nice. They had people working on the unit so I would assume the problem was resolved. The carpet really needed to be replaced it was pretty old.

The check in and check out procedures were easy.
the particular condo that we stayed in needs some updating. We stayed there 5 years ago and the towel rack was broken then and it still wasn't fixed. It could use some updating for the price that they are charging. I wouldn't stay there again unless it was updated. The thing that made it a pleasant stay was the location and the property itself is nice.

My boyfriend and I came to Charleston during our Spring Break in mid-March. We were very pleased with the location of the condo which we rented, and the location of the beach. We would recommend a few minor things which need to be done to make this condo top-notch. The bedroom needs darkening blinds so the light by the door does not shine through all night. Areas in the ceilings around the vents need some help - they look old. We loved everything else about the condo - location, price, and wonderful things around! A short drive to downtown Charleston as well as other fun places near Isle of the Palms.

As I am not on vacation, I am here for work and needed temporary living for a few months. The winter rate was excellant. Location is perfect for vacation or business. You will pay a little more for things at resturants because its a vacation spot. But over all location is great. The unit I am in could use a little upgrading, but its not too bad. Property management pretty much with except of one person I dealt with was professional.

The property was adequate for a short stay. It was mostly clean. Supplied somewhat less than what we needed. For example, not enough silverware for a family of 4. Extremely small. The entire property has a view of the parking lot. The best view is from the coin operated laundry. Property not maintained as we are accustomed to; a pile of lawn refuse was piled up the entire stay taking away from much what would have been more convenient parking. Don't think we would stay again.

Nice location however I was unable to get any sleep in the bed as the post had security lighting directly over the bedroom window and the room had transparent flimsy blinds that did not block the light. When letting maintenance and staff made aware of this matter after the 1st night; they said they would do something. Nothing was done and no return of call.

May I say that I love IOP and was so looking forward to our holiday. Location and convenience of Sea Cabins is great, the view and parking were good,
but 113A was such a disappointment. The unit was not clean, the furniture was worn out, the bed and pullout were terrible, dishwasher and disposal didn't work, broken blinds, and not enough towels. We definitely left the unit in better shape that when we arrived. Will not stay in 113A again!!

Location was great- right next to the beach access point with a limited view of the ocean. Property was clean and relatively comfortable but it is old and very basic (as in, not a lot of utensils, no hair dryer, bare bones furniture). Perfect for a weekend but would be hard to stay for more than just a few nights.

Good but not great. Unit was not equipped as well as previous units have been.
The blinds were broken in the living room and bedroom. We had to cover the bedroom window with a beach towel to keep the light out and privacy. The bathroom fan did not work. There were two spoons (not the same size) and two coffee mugs.
We will come back but will request a different unit.

From the moment we checked in we were in love! The rental office was the greatest and eager to tell us all the island had to offer. This rental is very clean, right next to the ocean, has its own private pool and pier, and allows for short stays such as a long weekend, which is what we were there for. The kids loved the built in bunk beds! The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, we made all our meals and had no need to go out to eat. The master bed is very comfortable with super soft sheets. An added benefit is the key-less entry which means you never worry about locking yourself out or losing your room key at the beach. There is a side road, Hungryneck Blvd that puts you just down by the Hwy 17 bridge in minutes without any traffic making Charleston a quick jaunt from IOP. It was a perfect Father's Day getaway! We will definitely be coming back!

We were pleased with our stay at the Sea Cabins. The quick walk to the beach made for an easy trip with our toddler, and while unit was on the ground floor, it still afforded a glimpse of the ocean from the balcony. The unit itself was clean and adequate in size for 3 of us. My only complaint is that there were only 3 spoons in the drawer, which meant we had to do dishes after each meal at home, and unfortunately the dishwasher in the unit was broken so we hand washed for the week we were there.

The Island of Palms (IOP) sea cabins are in a wonderful location. Close to the beach and local IOP restaurants. They were clean, quite and very comfortable. I recommend you give them a visit.
