The condo was large and nicely decorated. It was in a safe area. The proximity to the beach and pool were excellent! We liked that there was a separate entrance off the balcony. We could come from the beach to the balcony and hang up wet items and take off our sandals before entering the condo. The AC didn't seem to get back to the bedrooms the best but the fans helped. The ocean view was gorgeous and peaceful! We would definitely stay here again.

We really liked this condo and the check in procedures were so simple. It was perfectly decorated and very clean. It is a perfect arrangement for two couples and is in a quiet location.

My wife and I were able to book this rental on short notice. Online pictures looked amazing but the property shows even better in person. I don't think there are many homes on IOP that are closer to the water! The unit was recently renovated with high end touches, new beds, furniture, a well equipped kitchen and other amenities. Even though it wasn't warm enough to sit on the beach, we enjoyed walks along the shore and use of the rental properties two mountain bikes. Beach chairs and umbrella also included. Perfect spot for two couples or a family of four. Enjoy!!

Not many vacation rentals exceed your expectations…this one did! Amazing views of the ocean, dunes and sea grasses. Easy beach access and adjacent to pool. Upscale furnishings throughout. Super clean. Short walk to Sweetgrass Resort and Spa. We didn’t want to leave!

This is our fourth stay on Isle of Palms, at a different condo complex each time. As always, Island Realty staff were very professional and informative. Seagrove 2B is in the perfect location on the beach, just steps from the water and a quick drive from the Wild Dunes gate. We liked the mix of regular height chairs and tall chairs on the balcony. We really liked the extra stairway directly from the balcony to the ground level. The interior was very clean. The kitchen is very large and has all the equipment you need, including enough dish detergent and dishwasher powder for several days. The kitchen/great room has very nice vinyl plank flooring. Faucets and sinks throughout the unit seemed newer. Bathrooms were clean, well appointed, and quite large. Beds looked newer and mattresses were comfortable. We had plenty of sheets, towels, etc., with the exception of only one dish towel (could have used a couple more). Spots were always available in the parking lot, but while the C and D units in this building had covered parking spots, the A and B units did not. A welcome surprise on the first floor of the building was a storage room specifically for 2B full of beach items such as chairs, an umbrella and boogie boards. We have three suggestions: 1) add room darkening curtains in the bedrooms (it never got quite dark enough at night and we also had headlights from cars shining in occasionally), 2) the sofa and love seat could use a good cleaning or replacement, and 3) the carpeting in the bedrooms needs to be switched out for hard surface flooring with new subflooring added beneath to firm it up. Then add area rugs for coziness. The building is definitely older and the floors in general feel spongy and are squeaky. We also noticed a lot of noise when our upstairs neighbors walked on similarly squeaky floors. If all the noisy floors in this condo complex could be fixed, Seagrove would be a perfect choice for staying on Isle of Palms.

The property's proximity to the beach and pool is fantastic. While there was a dirty washcloth left on the floor of a bathroom, the rest of the property was spotless at check in. The one drawback to this property is a big one, though. There's a second entry door that leads to the main stairs. While it is locked and blocked so it doesn't get used, it allows an amazing amount of sound to echo down the hallway and to the main bedroom. Every time someone goes up or down the exterior stairs, every whisper, shout, clink, stomp, and bang is amplified and carried far.

We had a great time. Location is unbeatable. Would rent this unit again. expereince would be enhanced and more upscale, given the price point, if the unit had foam or down mattress toppers and higher quality bedding ( way 400-600 coount pima cotton or bamboo), as well as some basic condiments (salt/pepper; seafood boil seasoning; cooking oil/spray and such). Only problem was parking: no matter which spot we took someone objected ( left us a note); so direction on parking could be clearer as to which unit has what spot(s). Also, took us a bit to catch onto the beach stuff in the side storage area. Will use you again if we are in the area. Your service and communication is first rate, courteous, and clear. appreciated your periodic messages and beinb able to arrange for beach chairs and umbrella through you. It was so easy. Isle of Palms is wonderful! Loved Refuge and Acme Low Country Kitchen and the ice cream parlor on sullivan's island. Grocery shopping is convenient. Also arranged to surf fishing gear for three days and had a blast. Enjoyed Charleston, Boon Plantation, Magnolia Plantation, and the Hunley exhibit, as well as a horse drawn carriage tour. Would like to come back for sure!

We enjoyed our stay late May stay in this beautiful end-unit, direct oceanfront condo with pool views. The king bed in the master br was heavenly. We didnt use the double beds in the 2d br, nor the sofa bed in the LR this trip. Wifi was excellent. Peaceful surroundings, easy access to pool and beach. We will return.

We loved Seagrove 2B for its location. The 2 bed, 2 bath unit was perfect for 2 retired adults who like a little space. The only negative was noise from upstairs renters. We heard every step. They had 2 small children, who ran a lot. Still, this unit was a stone’s throw from the beach. We’d consider it again.

Beautiful condo with an amazing view. The convenience of having a key pad on the back door made access to the beach a breeze. A few minor fixes would make the stay perfect. First, as was mentioned in previous reviews, having chairs on the porch that are taller would allow an unobstructed view of the ocean. Second, squeezing full beds in the second room made it tricky to walk around, especially in the middle of the night. One of the frames is broken at the foot. And third, please, please provide additional soap and shampoo. The meager amount provided quickly ran out. It would also be helpful to provide a hair dryer.

We had to say upon arrival the view blew us away, but upon further review noticed a few short comings. First off in the spare bedroom I quickly noticed the bedframe damaged to the point of leaning and nervous of collapse. Next was in the kitchen and knob to drawer next to the refrigerator was off and in drawer. Finally were the games in the unit. All seemed to be missing pieces to the point of not being able to setup or play. All this could be overlooked if it were possibly later in the season but it was June 26. Also the sliding glass door latch was damaged not allowing it to lock securely. I will say that it might be on the inspector for the condo, than on the owner as they signed off on the unit being ready and up to par. Many wait all year to experience what one hopes to be a relaxing and fun filled week and things like this to some might have started the trip on a negative note. I did not allow this to disrupt our trip and we made the best of it as a family. Other than that the place was clean and enough for our family.

Off to a rough start, but the vacation got better. Upon arrival into the condo, we noticed a distinct bad smell. We looked throughout the condo, and found that the washing machine had dark, probably stagnant water in it. We called Maintenance, and were told it would be the next day before someone could take a look. The smell was so bad, we had to drive to the store to purchase items to cover the smell for the night. Maintenance came the next day and removed the dirty water with the bad smell. Things got better after that.

This condo is in an excellent location right on the beach with beautiful views overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is adequate and open. There were several items that need attention in this unit. The carpet in the bedrooms is worn, stained, and in need of replacement. The bed linens were ill-fitting and at first glance appeared to be soiled. After washing the linens they were found to be clean but worn. A minor detail, but there were several light blubs in need of replacement. The door of the dryer on the stackable units would not stay closed making it difficult to dry clothes. This could be a great unit, but could use a little love.

This condo was nice enough. However, we didn't realize that parking was not going to be beneath the building. This should be part of the description. This was disappointing. Also, the couches are in very poor shape, the carpet has what appear to be pet stains in the master bedroom, and some of the cabinet knobs won't stay on or are missing.

Mike- we checked out of the unit around 8:00 am on Saturday. I have a few comments for you and the owner. The location was great and the beach right in front of the unit was perfect. However inside was not. The front door frame and door itself are really badly rusted and I had to work to get it open and once I did it was fine, but it looks awful. The washer/ dryer is also very rusted and and should be replaced- the drapes over the sliders are awful and half of the hooks don't hold the curtains. The dishwasher doesn't close properly, and the bedroom rug is a disgrace. I don't know who had a dog but it smelt and has many dog pee stains. The unit really needs some TLC and I wonder if Island Realty has looked at it and suggested to the owner what to fix. I will be hesitant to rent for you again as I did say we were looking for a more upscale unit on the island.

Seagrove 2B was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room for 4 adults and the view could not have been better. There was even a blender for fresh peach milkshakes after a visit to the Mt. Pleasant Farmer's Market. The secure entrance from the balcony side was genius. What looked like mold in the bathroom was a concern.

My husband, teenage son, and I stayed in Seagrove 2B for 3 nights. The location was perfect. The view of the ocean from the front porch was what we were looking for. The condo was a comfortable size and well stocked with cookware and dishes.
The only negative things were that the WIFI was unreliable and we kept having to log back in. There were some stains on the carpet in the bedrooms, and a bit of mold on the bathroom walls.

The views were absolutely stunning! However, I have never rented a ‘premier’ property with such worn out furniture and mold on the baseboards! Seriously the sofas were so worn out the wood is all you feel on armrests and the beds were lumpy. It is time for an overall update at this price point.

The condo was dirty. There was trash behind the master bedroom night stand. The carpet in the master bedroom was filthy. There is mold in the master bathroom and in the kitchen. The balcony chairs were broken (did receive 2 chairs), the air filter was filthy (did change that).

Our 7 night stay wasn’t what we expected, which is too bad because this condo has so much potential. Great floor plan, views of beach and ocean, etc. but the number of issues we experienced impacted our stay. All of them related to the property’s general condition. Hole in washer water line flooded laundry room and hall before we stopped it with towels; screen on slider unit to deck had multiple tears, lip around kitchen sink had lost almost all caulk and was filled with gross debris and mildew; WIFI was a joke - we lost track of how many times it booted us off. Couches and chair needed to be replaced several years ago. Paint, dirt & debris on window screens affected enjoyment of great views. One window in master bedroom was sprung and could not be closed from the inside, so the first night was frigid with overnight low at 40 degrees (it was open when we arrived). Maybe the worst thing was all the small ants on kitchen counters and floors throughout our stay.

Island Realty was very responsive to our issues; we appreciated their efforts to resolve our issues. We paid way too much (almost $1,900 for 7 nights in February!) to have to endure this type of experience which was supposed to be a relaxing late winter stay at the beach.

The condo is right near the pool and ocean. There was enough space for my family of four and plenty of games for the occasional rainy day. There was enough to do we never ran out of options. Can rent paddle boards at IOP Marina, Tennis, Golf on premise and just a short trip into Charleston for history and food. Tried several restaurants in IOP and had good experiences. No complaints with the rental or rental company. Would recommend. Would stay here again, though we don't say that about many places (just because there are lots of good ones out there to experience).

The condo was nice with a spacious kitchen. The master bedroom bath was tiny, and like most properties of that age, no air circulation. the property was technically Ocean Front but so far away from the actual water (I would bet 150-200 yards) it didn't feel very close. It was overall a nice experience.

Rented that unit four times for two weeks. Unit is fine but certainly suggest floors actually being washed sometimes, a new broom and dustpan is needed as well as a decent vacuum cleaner, teaspoons and most importantly more towel racks in bathroom. One towel rack is totally Insufficient and have mentioned that for the fourth time!. When staying two weeks why are not trash bags, dishwasher soap and etc. supplied for just one week? Since we have to clean it ourselves for the second week and weekly renters don’t have to, we should not have to go out and buy those supplies as well as do the cleaning. The couches both need to be replaced due to hard use.

The view was great - however there was no beach or beach access at high tide. At high tide, you would have to walk through the Wild Dunes area - hoping that they did not have a wedding. The view to the right is not a correct representation of the beach access. It would have been nice to know this before renting this property. Also, the internet access was very spotty. The only place you could get internet on a regular basis was the bedroom.

Thank you for your comment as it provides the opportunity for us to provide some information about our islands. Isle of Palms, Dewees, Goat and Sullivan’s Island are barrier Islands separated by the mainland and the Intracoastal Waterway. The only constants about barrier island are they have beach, dune, barrier flat and salt marsh habitats and other these unique ecosystems that are always changing. We have seen erosion and accretion along the entire shoreline and tides can change with the lunar cycle, weather and other environmental factors. When we have erosion that begins to encroach the structures we do alert guest prior to arrival but we do not provide updates as the shoreline widens or narrows during the tidal cycles as they are not very predictable. We do however provide a tidal chart at check in so guests can be aware of the times of high and low tides. Thank you for staying with Island Realty and we hope you can understand Mother Nature's power over our environment.

This condo was beautiful! Very clean and everything appeared to be new. Lovely place. The only thing you need to be aware of is there is there to beach erosion there is no direct beach access.

My Mother and I have been coming to Wild Dunes for the past 6 years. This was our least favorite place that we have stayed. Unit needing updating; carpet, furniture, air conditioning (does not work in back bedroom) deck furniture, kitchen accessories and overall a good cleaning. Unit was not clean, only the "high spots." View was awesome from deck but the beach erosion makes beach lounging for the whole day imposible with the tide.

Beautiful location right on water. Beach erosion has made the beach directly in front of condo not an option. Condo needs paint job in bathrooms, paint pealing, grout needs to be redone. One chair broken on porch. Furniture a little dated. Stains on carpet. Island Realty very professional and quick response when needed.
