Older house that has been updated nicely. We very much enjoyed this house. Only a couple hundred yards from the beach. It was very clean and comfortable. It still has the charm of an older IOP home with modern conveniences. We would most definitely book it again!

This home on 404 Palm BLVD was accurately depicted in the pictures. A very cute beach cottage with a really nice open main area connecting the kitchen, dining and living area. What you don’t see in the pictures are the great little touches a family appreciates; a VERY well stocked kitchen of housewares and a lot of games for family and friends. The yard was very convenient too. We traveled as a family of five (three children age 5 and under) along with our family dog, and never felt short of space. We were satisfied as a family with our stay and our review ratings review our assessment based on what to reasonably expect from the property as advertised.

Rented this property over Christmas and it was a perfect spot- location was very convenient to the beach and the house had everything we needed- we did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well- equipped. Very clean and comfortable and an easy drive into Charleston proper. Overall a lovely stay for the holidays!

We rented a different property for a week and because the weather was absolutely perfect, we decided to extend our stay an additional week. Island Realty helped me find this property a few blocks away that met our needs. There was a huge discount for the last-minute rental. I would highly suggest checking with the office for specials when you're here if you're able to get the extra days.

This property ended up being a good find. Lots of games and books. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean. The yard was perfect for the dog. There was a push buggy to carry all our beach gear. 5-minute walk to the quieter end of the beach. The location was wonderful. Would love to stay here again.

Short get away trip to IOP. First time at this home. We loved the backyard fenced in area. The home was close to the beach and you could walk or bike to the shops. House is clean and nice for a small group. Maintenance is needed on some items inside - bathrooms need some tic on their plumbing and showers, stove exhaust needs work and pots/pans need to be inventoried as some items are all ovr the kitchen cabinets. Other that TLC, this is a good unit to rent.

This home is full of little upgrades, like a Bosh dishwasher, qualitly cookware, oven and microwave.
The pet friendly unit even comes with pick up bags. The yard was very big, fenced in completely, and a "vacation" for our dog. Plenty of games for the kids and adults and so close to the beach and Sullivans Island. We had a blast! Loved the "travelers" decor.

We have stayed at quite afew Island Realty homes, and this was another that was everything that we needed! Super easy walk to the beach, wonderful, gated front & back yard if you had a pet that you were bringing! Rooftop deck was nice. The home is older but had everything that we needed for our trip and to make us comfortable!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and we highly recommend! It is clean, comfortable and the fenced in yard for the dog is great. Only negative would be the small palm tree that blocks your sight while trying to back out of driveway.

This house served our family well. The walk to the beach isn’t bad. Yard is fenced in for dogs. We thought the kitchen was well stocked w/ pots, pans, etc... Loved the windows for natural sunlight. The living room is small & not a lot of seating, but who spends time sitting around while at the beach? We enjoyed the deck (no view though) & even a game night on the screened in back porch. The house was pretty clean (although the shower curtain in the master needs replacing ASAP). The laundry room is outside...better than no laundry room, but a bit of an inconvenience (not a deal breaker). There was a HUGE active wasp nest under the stairs leading to the deck - we had to buy wasp spray & get rid of that first thing! Also, as others have mentioned the driveway is a bit difficult to get out of (hard to see)...again, not a deal breaker but worth mentioning.

Super cute beach house. Plenty of open living space, sofa, chairs, table, kitchen island. Separate bedrooms, large private primary suite.
After a short walk on an ample shoulder along busy street (take children by the hand, keep dogs on short leash), a very nice walk in a quiet neighborhood to the beach.
Fully fenced yard. The roof deck and screened in porch were used often, both night and day.
We had a full house and very much enjoyed our stay.

House was comfortable and very well stocked. 5 minute easy walk to the beach with some beach gear provided. Fenced in yard was key for our dogs and management company was quick to respond and resolve minor issues. Outside screened in porch was in need of a deep clean but the interior of the house was very clean and comfortable. Nice quiet part of the island but still very close to everything. As other reviews have said backing out of the driveway can be tough - some landscaping could improve that, but it wasn’t too bad as there wasn’t much traffic this time of year. Can’t wait to come back.

We were very pleased with this rental and would definitely rent this one again. It has a huge fenced yard area and is pet friendly so our pups had plenty of area to run. It is an older home but it has some nice upgrades including appliances. Very comfy layout for a small group.

I only had a couple of complaints. One is that the shrubbery needs to be cut from the fence in front of the house because it made it difficult to see when exiting the driveway. Another issue is the small driveway which leaves no room to turn around so you either have to back out into the street to leave or you have to try to back into the driveway from the street, both options being nearly impossible with the busy traffic on Palm Blvd. The final issue, although not a deal breaker is that the washer and dryer are located in a detached building behind the house. Not a big deal but just a bit inconvenient and it gets very hot inside the small space.

We had a great time on our vacation. THe house was wonderful. Loved the gated yard for the dog and the beach was a convenient 4 minute walk. The only thing I would recommend is that someone trip down the plant at the front of the driveway - it was impossible to see oncoming traffic when backing out.Will stay at this home again!

404 Palm Blvd is an adorable mid- century modern home with an amazing fenced in yard. However, the driveway is a major draw back. I had to stand in the middle of Palm Blvd to stop traffic and have my husband back up safely. Yikes! I am also alarmed at the housekeeping because there were nuts and a prescription pill on the carpet - not under furniture but in plain sight. We paid top dollar and this is unacceptable. Finally, we asked several times for access to the Pin for the Ruku to download the Netflix App. We just gave up after several requests. We have rented for three years in a row thru Island Realty and it might be our last.

404 Palm is a small home but has a very well laid out floor plan with plenty of sitting room, out door space, and lot of natural light. The home is clean an nicely decorated. The warm water foot wash was a huge plus after chilly morning beach walks. We had a wonderful stay and the team at Island Realty went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. This comfortable home is just 3 blocks from the beach and on the southern, less crowded end of the island. Though it is on a busy road, traffic noise was not an issue. We walked to the beach each day and it is an easy drive to Mount Pleasant and Charleston. House was clean and had most everything we needed - a few more plastic containers for left-overs would be nice - lids were missing for several, but those always seem to disappear from rental homes. Kitchen could use a little updating and the medicine cabinet over the master bathroom sink makes it very difficult to wash your face and brush your teeth without hitting it. It was a great summer get-away and we totally enjoyed our time at IOP!

We chose this house because it was a short walk to the beach and had a fenced yard for our two small dogs. We could tell from the pictures online that the house was small and dated, but we accepted that since we didn't have alot of pet friendly options. The house was as expected. It met our needs but was by no means luxurious or spacious. The front yard is very nice but the back yard was overgrown with weeds and very unattractive. The kitchen had a decent amount of cooking supplies but the cabinets and countertops are very old and we had trouble with drawers falling apart. Bathrooms are tiny and we banged our head several times on an awkward overhead cabinet in the master bathroom above the sink. The french doors from the master bedroom to the backyard were taped shut and unable to be used. All in all, the property met our needs but didn't have any real charm and we definitely felt like we were on top of each other when inside.

This house has so many wonderful features. The kitchen is well stocked and was good for us because we didn’t want to go out because of Corona. The laundry house, outside shower, screen porch, roof deck are all the things we liked. I would suggest that the owners find a replacement shelf and replacement bins for the door. It was difficult to deal with all the food we brought with diminished capacity. And, there are some boards on the stairs to roof deck that are broken and kind of a hazard.

I’m from Pensacola FL so I have had some experience with beach towns.However I would have to say that Charleston and the Beach houses there put Pensacola Beach to shame.The atmosphere at my beach house and the area i was in was amazing, with food and fun being the most important factors.The only complaint that I have is that the master bathroom lights didn’t work, but other than that my stay was perfection.I will definitely be visiting again!

This vacation home was so pretty and dainty. It provided plenty of room but small enough to have valuable family time. The games were amazing! The bright colors were cheerful and the open floor plan made family time a blast! The Screened porch was small and parking was a tiny struggle but all was great! Laundry facilities were nice even though separate from the house. The decor was precious! The hall bath was a little small but the bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. We loved every precious moment with our Citadel cadet.

We loved the house at 404 Palm Blvd - it was spacious enough that we never felt like we were on top of each other. This property looks exactly like the pictures, even though the size of the house as shown in the pictures is deceiving. We had three people and it was great for us, but I couldn’t see having more than five in this house. Beds were comfortable, the location was fabulous as this end of the island was less crowded, we had no trouble backing out of the driveway in a full size truck. But that full size truck took up the entire parking area so it’s a good thing that’s all we needed parking for. The walk to the beach was quick and easy and that beach is fantastic! There was plenty of seating in the kitchen and dining areas, not so much in the living room. We did find a few wads of dog hair against the walls and a pan in the drawer with eggs cooked on, but other than that it was pretty clean. We had no need to call the realty for anything during our stay. The instructions for the washing machine are on the shelf next to it. I stood scratching my head trying to figure out how to start it until I found them. Washer looked fairly new and even though the outside of the dryer is rusty the inside was clean and worked well. The water inside the house gets very hot very fast, so be careful when you turn any hot water on. Because we were so close to everything we were able to drive to Charleston and see lots of the sights there, we visited Fort Moultrie, Patriots Point and went to see the Angel Oak tree without having to drive all day. We would definitely stay here again.

Island Realty was prompt and helpful with every request! The house is beautifully decorated and well laid out. We were especially happy with a comfortable king size bed. The kitchen was well-equipped. The couch was not especially comfortable, and we would’ve preferred to have a recliner there. No problems with Internet. The TV is stationed a little bit high in the living room. Loads of books and games to enjoy if you’re bringing kids. No direct access to fourth street to the beach. So walk down to fifth, and have your umbrella or items stationed there. The access was a bit dangerous. Very very busy road, and difficult to get in and out safely.

The only thing I would improve is Adding a love seat or change sofa to a sectional. We had 5 adults in our group and needed more comfortable seating than provided. The home was clean enough, and the furniture in the home was new and comfortable. The mattress's and beds all seemed new and slept well. However, it seemed that small maintenance was not being done. The outside of the house appeared unkept as things were overgrown. Just some simple trimming and a bit better upkeep of the walking paths around the house would be nice. Also, do not plan on sitting on any of the furniture that is outside. The laundry area needed to be cleaned and the dryer worked well but was covered in rust. Also the dishwasher was in pretty rough shape. Just a bit of work and this place could be a really nice home. Overall we were happy with the stay and the location. The walk to the beach was short and the neighborhood was quiet.

This process was easier than checking in to a hotel. The house was exactly as it appeared on the website and was very clean. The location doesn't have water views, but you are close to everything in the Isle of Palms. This house is a great value, and we will be renting again.

We had a good time not far from the beach so nice walks. Property needed a good cleaning we couldn't use the outside chairs at all. Lots of cobwebs, nice master, trees need trim on walk and driveway.

great kitchen house was clean and well equipped.we had a problem with the washing machine and it was immediately replaced with a new one.we couldn't be happier with island realty. only two negatives. the tv in the guest room in the cabinet turned it's self on now and then,once in the middle of the night.we finally unplugged it. the palm at the end of the driveway is a terrible view obstruction.

Great location. Cute house, very cozy. Just a few minor suggestions would make it much better: new, updated TV's (master didn't work), clean and furnish the outdoor upper deck, and a NEW coffee pot! We had to wait over an hour for coffee. Everything else was very nice.
