Our vacation planners offer every potential guest who calls in a personalized, friendly booking experience. They also call past and potential future guests to proactively market our properties and jumpstart the guest's planning process. But...that's still not all!
Thursday, September 1 was National Letter Writing Day and it had us inspired to share another set-us-apart facet of the many that create the Island Realty difference.
After a vacation planner books a vacation for a guest, he or she is sure to keep that guest in mind throughout the rest of the leadup to the vacation, during the vacation, and even after. How do the planners do this? After booking, they make follow-up calls to the guest to ensure everything is planned to perfection and to offer additional concierge services or suggestions. During the vacation, the planner is able to serve as a point-of-contact for the guest and direct any on-site questions or calls to the appropriate person. After the vacation, our planners go an extra step. They write the guest a thank-you letter for coming.
We understand that to some other property management firms, this might seem like an unecessary step. After all, the guest did just enjoy a vacation...do they need a thank you note for doing so? We think so. We think of it as the cherry on top of the sundae. Do you need it? Maybe not. Would it make the sundae seem that much more well thought out? Absolutely.
Letter Writing Day was established as a tribute to the joy and excitement felt when a hand-written letter arrives in your mailbox. In a world of digital media, this is an increasingly rare experience. A letter truly says to the receiver, 'I was so moved by this experience, I felt compelled to take the time to handwrite a personal note to you.' Our vacation planners, and for that matter, our entire Island Realty team, is so moved by and so grateful to each and every guest who entrusts us with the execution of their vacation that we do, in fact, feel compelled to do so.
