Employee Spotlight - Marketing Department Leader

For the past 45+ years, our team of local and knowledgeable employees has had its hand in shaping this small, family-owned business into the trusted company it is today. This year, we want to take the time to introduce you to our incredible staff. They work behind the scenes to ensure that you have the best vacation experience possible, but it's time to find out a little more about who they are in and out of the office. 

Today, we would like to introduce Angie, our Marketing Department Leader. We had the opportunity to sit down and get to know her a little better. 

Since Oct. 2007 - so about 17 years!

Marketing Department Leader

A lot of data compilation and spreadsheets, which I love! I've been with the company for quite a while, so I do a little bit of everything: I set up and manage all of the rates for all our properties,  contracts, distribution to VRBO, manage the online reservations, manage the website and any issues that may arise. I'm a little bit of a Jack of all trades!  I also lead the Marketing team and create a lot of the strategy behind what we need to do, while leaving the creative side pulling all of our campaigns, social media, etc. to our Marketing Content Coordinator who is a superstar with the creative side!

I love that i've been able to try different things within the company and really find the role where I am most happy and thrive! I can't forget the people who make this company what it is. We have so many wonderful staff in all the departments that work so hard to ensure everyone has the best vacation possible. 

My sister-in-law worked at Island Realty about 5 years before I moved here, so when I moved here and was looking for a job she recommended that I look here.  I came for the interview and started as a Vacation Planner soon after and I've been here ever since! 

I'm a bit of a Disney adult, so I love going to Walt Disney World any chance I get. I also enjoy spending time with my three Standard Poodles and my husband.  

I love the charming feel of Sullivan's Island. One of my favorite places on Sullivan's is The Obstinate Daughter. They have the most amazing flatbread with butter bean puree! If you get the chance to dine there, I highly recommend you try it! 

There are too many to pick just one.  

57th Ave. 2 would be at the top of my list. This new construction home is gorgeous with amazing finishing touches.  It's also close to Wild Dunes, so it is a little farther from the downtown IOP district which can be a bit more crowded.
