Halloween in the Holy City

Things are starting to get spooky in the Lowcountry.

Halloween is only a few weeks away, and so are a number of fun events all around the Charleston area. If you have a trip planned for the week of Halloween, here are some recommendations for must-see events around town. There are options for families with young children, adults wanting to relive some Halloween cult classics, and every group in between.

This family-fun event hosted by the Charleston police department provides a safe alternative to trick-or-treat and check-out cool police car displays. There will be prizes, live music, food, and more!

Explore Charleston Harbor on this one-of-a-kind ghost tour. Experience the fascinating horror that the Holy City's pirates, wars, and storms have ravaged past and present while riding Charleston's dark waves.

The Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice Halloween Pop-Up will take place from Thursday, October 24th to Saturday, November 2nd at Prohibition. Attendees can expect themed cocktails and fun festive decor. Costumes are highly encouraged!

Spooky season is upon us, and we're getting ready for Halloween at Hutson Alley! Tickets include an all-you-can-eat oyster roast, 3 drink tickets, a pumpkin prepped and ready for carving, and more themed activities! Drink tickets can be used for a seasonal draft beer or Halloween-inspired cocktails. 

All carving supplies are provided, and prizes will be awarded for the most creative, spookiest, best traditional carving and more!

The Boogieman Halloween Festival 2024 is back at The Royal American this Halloween. The festival will feature 15 bands performing on two different stages at The Royal American.

Kick off your Halloween celebrations with the Charleston Museum! Wear your eerie-sistible costumes and visit the Education Classroom for crafts, activities, and spooky snacks before embarking on a guided trick-or-treat trail throughout the Museum.
