When can dogs be off-leash?
5:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. - April 1st through September 14th
4:00 p.m. until 10:00 a.m. - September 15th through March 31st.
Owners must have a leash in hand at all times.
Off-leash dogs must be under voice command.
**Other than the listed times, dogs must be ON a leash and under the control of their owner (even in the water). Dogs must be cleaned up after at ALL times. There are dog bag receptacles at most public beach access paths.

Want a day off of the beach? Many different areas of our community are perfect for your pups. For example, the conveniently located dog park just behind the Isle of Palms Recreation Department at 24, 28th Ave. is open from sunrise to sunset.

Boone Hall (Mount Pleasant)
Leashed pets are permitted on the grounds except for going inside the plantation home during house tours, on plantation tractor tours, or inside the Hospitality Center or Butterfly Cafe.
Charleston Tea Garden (Wadmalaw Island)
Leashed pets are welcome everywhere except for inside the gift shop and on the trolley tour.
